Thank you to all who joined us at the AsiaSEE launching ceremony

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to each of you who participated in the AsiaSEE Launching Ceremony in Hong Kong on 8th May 2019.

Over 40 guests and founding members gave their time to attend and to contribute in the event. Without your participation, the official launch would not have been so successful and it was a great pleasure to see so many of you there! We certainly hope that you have taken the opportunity to make new friends, renew old acquaintances and extend your existing networks with different members.

A special thank you goes to our VIP speakers for sharing their words of wisdom: Prof. Ian Holliday (PVC of Teaching & Learning, HKU), Prof. T S Andy Hor (PVC of Research, HKU), Prof. A Lin Goodwin (Dean of Education, HKU) and Prof. Christopher Chao (Dean of Engineering, HKU). Thank you for being so supportive and your participation means a lot to us.

We believe the perspectives offered by our speakers and the subsequent afternoon discussion amply highlighted the importance of engineering education in the Asia Pacific region. Clearly there is work to be done to improve and to develop strategies for the enhancement and advancement of engineering education. So, let us work together to shape the future of engineering education in Asia.

Once again, thank you all for supporting and joining us to witness this grand launch. We wish you all the best and hope that you continue to be engaged with AsiaSEE. Stay tuned for upcoming events by visiting https://www.asiasee.org/ Please feel free to download the event photos and presentations from our event page and also view the video highlights.

We look forward to seeing you at the next gathering in 2020.

Best regards,
Dr. Cecilia Chan
AsiaSEE Founding President
